In February 2026, the term of office for one of the Plan’s member nominated trustee directors (MND) came to an end. The selection process was carried out in late 2025 and resulted in a substantial number of applications. Following an in-depth interview process for shortlisted candidates, we are pleased to announce that Joanne Russell has been appointed as our new MND and joined the Board on the 22 February 2026.
Joanne previously worked for Pearson for 8 years as Senior Vice President Investor and Media Relations and Global Sustainability, leaving in 2025. During her time at Pearson, she served as a company nominated trustee director for 5 years and was a member of the Investment Committee.
Joanne currently works for Haleon as their Head of Investor Relations.
After 15 years Nim Maradas, the previous MND, decided not to stand for reselection and stepped down as a trustee on 21 February 2026. The Trustee Board is extremely grateful for Nim’s hard work and dedication over so many years.
