The Threadneedle Pension Property Fund (“the Fund”), which is available to members of the Plan’s Defined Contribution (DC) sections, has been temporarily suspended since 20 March 2020.
In light of the current market volatility resulting from COVID-19, a number of property fund managers, including Threadneedle, have decided that, in order to protect the interests of investors, their funds should be suspended temporarily. Please note that the Fund’s suspension is due to difficulties with its valuation in the current climate, not as a result of liquidity concerns. While the Fund is suspended, members cannot purchase, switch out or sell any investments held in it. Please note that members invested in the Fund will not be able to access the Aviva membersite for the duration of the suspension.
Threadneedle will continue to monitor the Fund and the market closely and take all actions that it considers to be in the best interests of investors, with a view to resuming dealing in the Fund as soon as possible.
